July

My family came to visit for the 4th of July!  My mom, sister, and niece, and nephews drove up from Florida and my aunt and uncle flew in from Boston.  Ben finally got some time off of school so we had lots of fun showing my family around.
Christopher looks thrilled for the 13 - 14 hour drive to come visit!
Of course we played some disc golf.
These 2 were best buds right away.

We went to the Children's Museum on a rainy day.

Ben taught Lexi and Christopher how to bake bread.

We bought passes for bowling so we could go several times while family was here!

We celebrated the 4th of July on July 3rd at Genworth Financial.

My aunt and uncle finally joined the party :)
We also celebrated the 4th on the 4th at Colonial Downs and watched some horse racing!

Natural Bridge

Love this guy.  Makes me laugh :)

On our last night before everyone headed home we went searching for fireflies!  We don't have them in Florida so the kids were very excited when they saw them.  Don't worry...it was a catch and release activity!

June

In June I finished up the 2012/2013 school year and started my summer.  Ben didn't get a summer this year.  He was up early while I began sleeping in.  I started cleaning out my teaching stuff and organizing it so it would be ready to be moved to my new classroom in August!

May

In May I found out I finally got a teaching job!  We've lived in Virginia for 3 years.  2 of those years I've worked at a wonderful school with wonderful people.  For the 2013/2014 school year I get to work with these lovely ladies teaching Kindergarten!

April

In April Ben took one part of his Step 2 Boards exam.  He had to drive all the way to Philadelphia for this test and it was going to take up the weekend.  After that he was going to drive straight back to Lynchburg which meant I wouldn't see him for 2 straight weeks.  I took this opportunity to go to Florida for Spring Break so I wasn't home alone. My friend Cara and her daughter Aryana came along for the ride!
Lexi and Aryana became quick friends!
Siesta Key with my mom.

Loving the beach time!

Spending time at the zoo.

Waiting for the Circus to begin.

I just love him to pieces!

While in Florida my TWIN announced she was pregnant with number 4!

When Spring Break was over and Ben was finally done with his rotation in Lynchburg we decided to plant different kinds of peppers and some strawberries.  So far the only plants we have had success with are green and red peppers!

Doing pretty well with the peppers!
I made a post on Facebook about my husband being the goofy guy who wheres Hawaiian shirts.  The funny thing is people thought Ben was wearing it just for the NASCAR race.  Nooo...my husband is that guy who gets a kick of wearing Hawaiian shirts out in public often just to embarrass me!

Attending our first and maybe last NASCAR race :)

Ben and I celebrated our 3rd Anniversary!  We didn't do much.  Just went to dinner and spent some time together.
I love him!

March

Wow it's been too long!  Here a play by play by month.

Ben started a rotation in Lynchburg, VA in March.  It was a month long and it required him to stay there during week days because it was a 2 hour drive each way.  I entered the world of bachelorette life and quickly realized I don't like living alone!

I started and stopped crocheting in March.  Maybe I'll try to pick it up again when I have the time and patience for it.

We got some snow.  I love Virginia because it allows me to see snow but it is never too much!  Also, if it snows even a little we get a snow day!  I love sleeping in :)

Flat Stanley came to visit from Lexi's second grade class.  I took some pictures with Flat Stanley in snow since Lexi is in Florida and most of the kids have never seen it!  I also took a picture of Flat Stanley with a tree during Spring because once again Florida doesn't experience Spring!
