Christmas in Utah

We spent Christmas in Utah with Ben's family.  We enjoyed spending time with family and friends while we were there.  We arrived on Christmas Eve and were greeting with snow.

We enjoyed lots of family time which included playing lots and lots of games.

We spent time with Murray friends that Ben grew up with.
Lucky me.  Many of my friends have moved to Utah so I was able to see Florida friends.

Ben and his brother Bryan made this wooden nativity puzzle.  Once it was all cut out we got to work painting it.  Ben painted the stable and I painted the pieces.  The painting obviously isn't professional but we love how it turned out and enjoyed spending time with family while we worked on it.

Birthday

I married an awesome gift giver.  For my birthday Ben gave me this awesome painting.  Our friend Jenna painted it for us.  I absolutely love it and love how well it fits in my house!

That night Paige organized a night out.  We went to dinner at a Chinese food restaurant and then we went to the Richmond Zoo to watch a live nativity.  It was FREEZING so the Gilberts treated us to donuts and hot chocolate while we were there.  All in all I had a great day :)

Luray Caverns!

During our Thanksgiving break in Eltan we were close to Luray, VA.  We decided to take the opportunity to head to Luray Caverns with the Vanhilles.  It was so worth it!

We love the Vanhilles and the time we get to spend with them!

Thanksgiving in Etlan, Virginia

We spent Thanksgiving with some friends in a cabin.  We had a blast playing games, cooking, disc golfing, crafting and hiking.  Here's a picture of the group!

We arrived at the cabin on Wednesday night.  As soon as there was day light on Thursday Ben set up the tee for frisbee golf and convinced the guys to go out and play with him.  Luke was unfortunate and threw his disc in the water!  He was a sport and went in the freezing cold water to try to find it with no such luck.

On Friday most of the group went to hike Old Rag.  Ben and I decided to do our own thing.  We went to White Oak Canyon to see some waterfalls!  We enjoyed our time together and the beautiful reward we received when we got to the top of our hike.

Paper, paper, and more paper!

The first 2 years of med school brought lots of unwanted paper into my house!  Ben had a syllabus with paper to fill a 2 - 3 inch binder for each class he took.  In the end this is the stack we got!  Take a close look at all the ridiculous notes on the back of a lot of Ben's papers!

Thanks to Kayli we had a huge bonfire at the beginning of November!  We got together with some of Ben's classmates and their families so between all of us you can imagine the amount of paper we had to burn.  In the end we only got through one stack of papers so Ben and I stopped at the recycling bin on the way out of campsite!

Can you tell how excited these guys are?!

Love this little girl
Proud of all the hard work my husband puts in for school.
